Marcia Guderian is a folk/jazz/pop musician who resides in Bellingham. Marcia’s music is one of the most authentic representations of an artist I’ve encountered through my time at KZAX. Her songs focus on the messy parts of life, casting a wide net over the myriad problems she has with relationships, capitalism, self-worth, and even American imperialism. These songs are not polished, and could probably use a better mix, but honestly that adds to the overall vibe that this album captures. Life isn’t even close to perfect, the music isn’t perfect, but that won’t stop Marcia. She’s still singing her heart out, and baring her soul for the world to hear, and I love her art because of that.

Fun fact: This album features tracks recorded between 1989-2005.
