Metz is a noise rock/hardcore punk band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, who have been active since 2007. This album contains a lot of fuzzy guitar and groove-based punk riffs. Lyrics leave a lot to be desired, and most songs are just endless repetition of one riff. The good songs on this album are great, but the rest feel pretty phoned in. Put this on if you already have heavy anxiety and want some high energy tunes to go with it.
Fun fact: Metz is a city in France, with a history spanning at least 3,000 years.
RIYL: The Jesus Lizard, McClusky, Gilla Band.
1. Best track on the album, with one of the best bridges in the noise/punk genre.
2. Sounds like a garage rock song recorded after drinking 10 red bulls.
3. Not a radio safe song title, but the main riff is super heavy!
4. Noise/Punk filler.
5. Noise/Punk filler.
6. Short instrumental diddy that’s actually really catchy.
7. Bassist went way too hard on this song, and it’s really good.
8. Noise/Punk filler.
9. Noise/Punk filler.
10. Noise/Punk filler.
11. DO NOT PLAY ON RADIO! It's a loud noise that will blow out your speakers.
